From local supplier to global player

Van Vliet Automotive Group originated in the fifties of the last century. Bas van Vliet senior was a farmer by profession and signaled in these years a growing demand tor transport. The economy in the Netherlands recovered. Or, as we would say today in an international context: the Nethertands was an Emerging Market. Besides his agricultural activities, Bas van Vliet began in 1953 selling trucks, vans and cars. And that he had the right entrepreneurial spirit was evident in the years that followed. The vehicle sales becarne a greater source of income than farming.

Customization was from the outset the standard

lnitially the cars were purchased and sold in the same state. However, an increasing demand came for additional services. So Van Vliet began to set up a workshop.
